An Amy Butler Inspired Children’s Room

I just had to show you how my daugthers room turned out. An Amy Butler Inspired children’s room to die for. I’m itching to start designing/selling this type of thing for Cheeky & Swank, but it’s more of a custom job right now. Someday…..
This year for my daughters birthday she requested to have her bedroom redone. We really hadn’t done much to it since we moved in 4.5 years ago. She picked out the main fabric from my fabric stash (thanks to Cheeky & Swank) and had one of my good friends/seamstresses sew this up. It turned out sooooo well.
The pillows and duvet cover are made from fabrics from Amy Butler’s Nigella line by Westminster Fibers. The center is her Starflowers Tiles in Brown. The green Damask is from the same series, Wood Fern in Moss. It’s a heavy 100% cotton satin home dec weight so it holds it’s shape and has a beautiful feel. The red polkadot is from Windham and sadly, is discontinued. The cream bedskirt is from Walmart.
The wall color was a 45 min. experiment at Sherwin Williams Paint Store. We ended up creating a brand new color. Needless to say…she loooves it and actually makes her bed every day. A pleasant surprise.
Here are some pics of her room and bedding.
Above are the fabric covered buttons on the envelope enclosure on the back. Even the back looks great, if she ever wants to turn it over and have only the green damask showing, it has that nice touch. I love the sweet piping that runs all along the edges.
We were both so excited about how it turned out. I just had to share. That Amy Butler. She is one talented gal.

Amy Butler’s got talent for fabric, but she didn’t put all THIS together. So cute!
